How we moderate

  • Human staff. Our staff team of admins, moderators and helpers moderates chat and gameplay. Staff are listed publicly and update automatically from the server.
  • Clear rules. Everyone follows the server rules.
  • Public punishments. Every ban, mute, warning and kick is on the punishments page with the reason and the staff member who issued it.
  • Fair appeals. Anyone can appeal a punishment, and staff review every appeal.
  • Griefing protection. Land claims protect builds, so other players can't destroy them.

A guide for parents

KiwiSMP is a free Minecraft multiplayer server where players build, explore a map of the real world and play weekly mini-games together. Players can chat with each other in game and in our Discord.

  • Cost: free to play. The store is optional and gives no gameplay advantage over other players.
  • Chat: moderated by staff under our rules. Minecraft's own settings (and Xbox/Microsoft family settings on Bedrock) let you limit multiplayer and chat.
  • Discord: our community Discord follows Discord's own age requirements.

Safety questions

Is KiwiSMP safe for kids?

KiwiSMP is moderated by a human staff team, has public rules and publishes every punishment. As with any online game, we recommend parents check Minecraft's own online-play settings and talk with their child about chatting with strangers.

How do I report a player on KiwiSMP?
